Labify Connect

Helping scientists find the right collaborator across disciplines.

Labify Connect is a project I conceptualized, researched, and continue to refine on my own. It grew out of my thesis on designing trust for scientific collaboration, where I studied how communication barriers and fragmented tools slow multidisciplinary research. The concept lets researchers find collaborators by expertise, build trust through verified profiles, and draw inspiration from adjacent scientific fields.

Combines quantitative surveys with moderated and unmoderated research to validate the concept.

Fisher Scientific

Redesigning a global scientific e-commerce site, one page at a time.

At Thermo Fisher Scientific I work as Web & UX Designer on the Fisher Scientific website, building and maintaining pages in Adobe Experience Manager for a global scientific audience. The role spans UX research, UX/UI design, and web design — translating user and business insight into wireframes and high-fidelity UI, then checking it against usability, accessibility, and conversion goals with marketing, product, and stakeholder teams.

Ongoing work on design system consistency across a high-traffic e-commerce platform.

OMEDOM App

Making property finance feel as simple as checking a balance.

OMEDOM is a finance-focused SaaS platform for property management that connects directly to users' bank accounts. Serving both B2B and B2C users, it needed to stay secure without feeling like banking software. I led user research and usability testing, then built wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes for the financial tracking, payments, and property-transaction flows.

WebSurg

Making advanced surgical training easier to navigate, not just watch.

WebSurg is a pioneering e-learning platform giving surgeons access to live training and an extensive resource library. My work focused on the research and usability testing behind that library — then wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes that made dense surgical content easier for time-pressed medical professionals to find, follow, and return to.

IRCAD Taiwan and China

Building a surgical institute's web presence for two new markets.

IRCAD is a world-renowned surgical training institute with branches across France, Brazil, Taiwan, and China. I helped build the Taiwan and China websites from the ground up, working with local teams so the platform's design matched regional cultural expectations rather than a translated copy of the French original — managing cross-cultural communication and design consistency along the way.

Content is a design
material, not decoration.

Microcopy, content strategy, and localization — the words that make an interface usable in more than one language.

Microcopy & content design

Writing UI text that improves usability and engagement, not just fills space.

Research-backed content

Every content decision is checked against user insight, not personal preference.

Localization & inclusivity

Content built to resonate with global, multilingual audiences from the first draft.

Cross-functional collaboration

Working closely with design, engineering, and product to ship content that holds up.

Empathy map
What users actually said
  • “There's too much happening on the home screen — I just want to browse.”
  • “I wish I could filter searches better to find exactly what I need.”
  • “There are too many ads disguised as organic pins.”

Synthesized from user interviews into pain points and gains before any rewrite began.

UX audit
Issues → recommendations
  • Cluttered home screen → prioritize content, surface saved boards, reduce visual noise.
  • Inconsistent search → improve relevance, add filters by type, creator, and date.
  • Unclear ad labeling → clearly mark sponsored content, add ad preference controls.
Microcontent rewrite
Before → after
“Save” “Save to Board”
“Looking for ideas you've saved.” “No matching results. Try refining your keywords.”

What I bring
to a project.

UX/UI Design

Wireframing, prototyping, interaction design, accessibility.

UX Research

User interviews, usability testing, data analysis, journey mapping.

Visual & Graphic Design

Branding, typography, layout design, illustration, marketing materials.

UX Writing

Microcopy, content strategy, information architecture.

Web Design

Responsive design, WordPress, Adobe Experience Manager, user-centered interfaces.

Cross-cultural design

Localizing research and interfaces for multilingual, multi-market audiences.

Four habits that
show up in every project.

User-centered, empathy-driven

I uncover real needs by listening, observing, and analyzing behavior before I open a design tool.

Data-backed decisions

Qualitative and quantitative insight work together — I use both to validate and refine ideas, not just to justify them after the fact.

Iterative and agile

Testing early, failing fast, and improving continuously drives the process more than getting it right the first time.

Storytelling and collaboration

Research only matters if it inspires action — I bring findings back to the team in a form that actually moves a decision.

Portrait of Sabrine Lachheb

A multilingual designer who reads the room before redrawing it.

I'm a UX/UI Designer and UX Researcher with over 5 years of experience across e-commerce, SaaS, healthcare, and scientific platforms. My approach pairs design thinking with cross-cultural insight — useful on projects that need to work for a scientist in Taiwan and a nurse in Lyon without feeling like either one was an afterthought.

I studied at the University of Strasbourg through the Master CAWEB program, and outside client work I mentor aspiring UX/UI designers, giving feedback on real projects and creating learning materials for a design community. Whether I'm building a brand from nothing or improving a platform that's been live for a decade, the questions I ask stay the same: who is this for, and what are we assuming they already know?

  • Simplicity wins — the best design is effortless.
  • Always evolving — UX is never finished.
  • Curiosity drives impact — the right question beats the fast answer.
  • Inclusive by design — accessibility isn't optional.
